About ASI

Professionals in the Farm Risk Management Business
AgriServe was established in 1982 by a group of dedicated, skilled, and knowledgeable businessmen and professionals. In 1991, corporate headquarters were relocated to a 45 acre site of prairie land near Lake Shelbyville in Illinois.

From the beginning, our goal has been to provide farmers with affordable crop income protection combined with superior service and utmost integrity. It is evident by AgriServe's continued growth and loyal customer base that we have met, and continue to meet, this challenge.

AgriServe also has a satellite office located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where MPCI underwriting is handled. Our staff in the Council Bluffs office has more than ninety years of combined experience in MPCI underwriting.

Superior Service
AgriServe has always enjoyed a reputation for superior customer service both before and after crop loss.   By maintaining strict training and qualification standards for our adjusting staff, we will continue this tradition for our current and future policy holders.

AgriServe Adjusters have backgrounds in agriculture.  Each new employee trains for a minimum of three years under the guidance of a seasoned professional loss adjuster before being entrusted with the significant responsibility of adjusting on his or her own.

In addition, AgriServe adjusters regularly participate in university sponsored schools and seminars relating to crop loss and other agricultural issues. A significant number of AgriServe staff members both moderate and teach these events.

Financial Strength and Stability
AgriServe represents an A Rated company by A.M. Best & Company, the nation's leading insurance rating authority.  AgriServe policies are issued on an A Rated basis.

Commitment
ASI confirms its commitment to the farming community through numerous public service grants including part sponsorships of weather and farm-related public television broadcasts.

In 1991, ASI's corporate headquarters were relocated to a 45 acre site of prairie land near Lake Shelbyville.  During each state of development and construction we have strived to preserve and improve the environment of our new home.  We have particularly enjoyed the activities of a flock of purple martins that have chosen to rest in our martin houses.  We thought that our clients would also enjoy having these birds in residence so we are making a martin house and pole system available to all our policy holders at a discounted price.
